Well, It's Sorta Flat...
"I told you it was flat... in some places!"
A friend of mine and I are currently making a parody of the Flat Earth Society. We're using this as one of the backgrounds.
The model was made in Blender and it has a render time of about three minutes. The lens flare and atmosphere effect was made in post using Photoshop.
The final render after adding all of the elements together.
The different versions of the earth and the atmosphere were rendered separately and pasted on to each other later in Photoshop. The lens flare is from a lens flare pack I found online.
