ARC Pistol

I modeled Thomas A. Szakolczay's ARC Pistol a while back. Here's the link to that:

I showed it to him and he recommended that I add more to it to build on the original concept. I decided not to post it until I had because I felt like I hadn't added that much to it. Unfortunately I never got around to modifying it. I tried adding a really bad scope to it but I ended up scrapping it. So here's the work that I did before I decided not to finish it.

I made this all the way back in March of this year so most of the hard surface modeling wasn't done that well. Next time I model a weapon I'm sure that everything from the materials to the shape and textures will look ten times better than this. This is really just a decent model with a well made texture over it.

I was really surprised when I unwrapped the texture onto the model. It was almost as if Szakolczay made the concept just to unfold it onto a 3D mesh. It came out perfectly. His work is great.

The awful scope I'd made and scrapped.

Part of the model broke in this photo and it's rather noisy. I still like how it looks and might fix/re-render this image one day.
